Wearing a new helmet like Schumacher, and the new kart graphics, Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) led from the lights on the first race of the day in KF1. But Alexander Albon (Intrepid / TM) duelled with 2 drivers on the first lap and took control. Worse, on the second lap, De Vries lost ground, and was seventh. Behind Albon, Karol Basz (RK / BMB) was second, Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) third, and Mark Litchfield (FA Kart / BMB) fourth.
As usual, De Vries’s machine started to get fast in mid-race. Litchfield went third, Camponeschi dropped back and Chris Lock (Tony Kart / Vortex) was fourth. De Vries came back to second place, with the fastest lap, behind Albon, the heat winner. Basz was third, fourth was Litchfield then Lock and Yu Kanamaru (Tony Kart / Vortex).
Albon took advantage of his pole position in the second heat by taking off from the start. Behind this was war! De Vries was 10th on the 1st lap, Jordon Lennox Lamb (CRG / Maxter) took 11 places at the start and it wasn’t over. The duel for the second position would last throughout the race between Basz and Ignazio D’Agosto, in favor of the former. The chasing pack was well shaken. Camponeschi dropped back after an attack on De Vries. Groman, Litchfield and Pakari brawled, but Lennox and De Vries passed them and finished fourth in front of it. It was the 2nd win for Albon from Basz and D’Agosto.
