Thanks to relentless work with her team, Beitske Visser managed to find the best adjustments for her Intrepid/TM on the Castelletto track, at the WSK Masters Series. With different tyres (Dunlop instead of Vega) and different track conditions, the previous week’s experience at Trofeo Margutti was not particularly useful to her. But Beitske proved again to be very fast, even the fastest of all the drivers of the weekend, with a stunning time of 47”046 set on the second final, which is rather exceptional!
However, as often happens at the beginning of the season, the Dutch young driver was unable to avoid a few problems, starting with an engine breakage in Saturday’s heats. When everything was going just fine, a series of small collisions reduced her chances of success just as it had happened during the well-known Sunday’s final. Constantly faster than the race leaders, Beitske had to content herself with a recovery up to fifth in KZ1. The overall assessment of this WSK Master is mixed since victory has not yet come to reward her excellent level of performance.
