Max Verstappen was one of the protagonists of the KF3 World Cup in Braga. By taking full advantage of the qualities of his CRG/Maxter, the young Dutch driver fought bravely against the world elite of the category. Max’s performances were even better than those seen at the Genk European championship and he was constantly fighting between the first and second place. After losing some ground in the fervour of the fight in the pre-final, he brilliantly regained the second place for the final. The Cup was not so distant, after all!
The youngest driver of the pack, another Dutch, Jorrit Pex, who defended CRG’s colours in KZ1, also achieved impressive results at the World Cup, starting with the best lap time in timed qualifying. Second after the qualifying heats, he had problem in the pre-final and could not exploit at best the speed of his kart. But despite this inconvenience, everybody was impressed by the level of his performances during the world meeting.
