15/06/12 Successful KZ European Championships for AVG Racing
AVG Racing - European Championship - Wackersdorf

The AVG Racing Team had ideally prepared for one of the major international meetings of the year: the double European Championship - KZ1 and KZ2 - organized in Germany on the Wackersdorf circuit. In the two categories, the team of Anton Van Grunsven has shown its ability to compete at the highest level in a race marked by the presence of a large number of drivers, including the best in the world. In KZ2, Dylan Davies, thanks to his unbelievable recovery drive, crossed the finish line in the 4th place, whereas Arnaud Kozlinski had the honor to mount on the third step of the podium after a relentless battle behind the wheel of his PCR-TM.

KZ1: Kozlinski very close to the title
For several years, AVG Racing has been one of those rare teams able to compete regularly against the most renowned factory teams. They make a wonderful use of their partnerships with PCR and TM, and their know-how and technical skills are up to those of the greatest teams. With the support of talented Arnaud Kozlinski, AVG felt capable of overturning the world ranking, as the team has made on several occasions. In fact, after having already scored a victory in the WSK series in 2012, the team flirted with the title of European Champion.
After his 5th best time in timed qualifying, and his 2nd place in the qualifying heats, all obtained in dry conditions, Arnaud Kozlinski pressed on in the rain of the pre-final. Unfortunately, "Koko" made a little mistake just like some other drivers and moved back to the 20th place. But the French driver recovered very fast from his mishap in the final, again with slick tyres. With his highly competitive kart, the AVG driver set to catch the leaders at a fast pace. "This week-end, there was a real opportunity to fight for the title", Arnaud admitted during the press conference. "Obviously, it was a bit more complicated starting from the 20th place, so I gave it all I had to achieve the podium and I made it". Third on the finish line with the second fastest lap in the race, the outcome is definitely a good one for AVG, PCR, TM and their driver.

KZ2: Davies, a young driver on the rise with AVG
Excellent in WSK races, Dylan Davies has shown that he was worth counting on in the major CIK/FIA meetings. In Wackersdorf, he dared a few pieces of bravery, like in the two heats where he moved up from the 17th to the 2nd place with a lot of panache and - on another occasion - from the 18th to the 3rd place, each time with the fastest lap in the race! These performances made him even more confident of his abilities and his excellent kart. In the pre-final, he kept on with his progression. While he aimed to a mere 26th position after the first lap, he passed under the checkered flag in the 11th place. The Dutch driver did not settle for such a good achievement, leading his PCR-TM to a wonderful 4th place. "I was quite fast at the end of the race, the podium was not far away, but such a result at a European Championship with 111 drivers, remains a great result", declared the AVG Racing driver.
