All motorsport enthusiasts will already have come across Speedwear products at the edge of a karting track, a race circuit, a rally stage or a motocross site. But the Belgian company has several strings to its bow, both in its Herentals shop near Antwerp and in its on-line shop, Speedwear.be
Karting is one of the leading disciplines for Speedwear, and the distribution of several brands allows the company to offer a wide range of products for all drivers. Arai and Alpinestars are leading figures in this market, and Speedwear will be dedicating a lot of space to these brands at its "Open House" event on 30 & 31 January in its Herentals shop. On this occasion, as official distributor of Arai, Speedwear will offer all loyal customers of this famous Japanese brand a complete restoration of the fabric and foam in their helmet, free of charge. A unique opportunity to try products on site!
Latest news from Arai is the release of the totally new series 6 of its famous helmets, in particular model CK6 specially designed for young drivers aged under 15, and fully compliant with the new CIK-FIA standard. This specific model is carefully designed to give junior drivers protection for their specific morphology, where light weight (less than 1250g) is not the only advantage. Arai has applied all its experience in designing a high quality product offering a maximum of comfort and safety, which Speedwear is proud to offer immediately after launch.
As another top quality brand with a global reputation, Alpinestars offers this year top quality innovations in particular in its karting range: KMX 1 race suits, Tech 1 K shoes and gloves in several styles and fashionable colours to combine looks with effectiveness. The Alpinestars 2010 collection for car, bike and karts is the star of the "Open House" days at the end of January.
Other brands distributed by Speedwear include the Colin McRae range (clothing, shoes and helmets), Schroth protection gear (HANS system and harness), Shock Doctor and its Dry Power System (for drying helmets, clothing and shoes) and finally the Bengio range (side protection and seat padding for karting).
Speedwear also has two further departments in the field of personalisation. Many drivers want a look which is as personal as possible:
from suits to clothing, including race underwear, Speedwear's embroidery service can meet every need while the printing service provides the widest variety of stickers.
To complement the shop and the website, Speedwear attends circuits with a stand to meet the needs of competitors from close quarters. As well as motorsport competitions, Speedwear is present in karting in the Belgian Championship, the BNL Karting Series and the CIK-FIA European Championship.
Speedwear is certainly worth discovering!
