On wet tyres as were all the other competitors, Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) retained the lead in prefinal A for KZ2. Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla) passed Kozlinski (Intrepid / TM) on the 1st lap, Davide Fore (CRG / TM) had already moved up to fourth ahead of Riccardo Negro (Top Kart / TM) and Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM). Lammers attacked and passed Camponeschi on the 3rd lap, Kozlinski set the fastest lap and passed the Italian just after the line, Hanley passed Fore few corners later. Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM) moved up to 6th from Fabian Federer (CRG / Maxter) and Mirko Torsellini (ART GP / TM) by a few lengths. Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter) had a difficult start to the race, he was 17th.
Hanley took 3rd place from Camponeschi in mid-race, while Zanchetta took 5th from Fore. Camponeschi retired on lap 7. Lammers dominates by more than a second ahead of Kozlinski and Hanley who had Zanchetta close behind him. On lap 9 Kozlinski clawed back time significantly on the leader, who was suddenly uncomfortable, Hanley and Zanchetta made strong threats and Federer joined the leading group. Lammers regained time on the final lap due to the fight taking place behind him and won the race ahead of Kozlinski, Hanley, Federer in 4th, Zanchetta 5th and Torsellini 6th.
