There was a lot of rain in the sky, and lots of water on the track, so even the formation laps were difficult. Joyner spun and regained his place after the red line, which should earn him a penalty. Max Verstappen (Intrepid / TM) started again in the lead and quickly distanced himself from his pursuers.
In a twist on the second lap, Verstappen spun on a big puddle! Joyner found himself leading, followed by Charles Leclerc (ART GP / Parilla) and Pavel Rudakov (Tony Kart / BMB), Karol Basz (Birel / BMB), Dennis Olsen (Energy / TM) and Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex). But Leclerc took the lead while Verstappen went into 19th position. Anthoine Hubert (Formula K / TM) moved into the top 10 on the fifth lap, Olsen set the fastest lap. Again, the positions stabilized quickly after the first few laps. Karol Dabski (Praga / Parilla) was again going well and took 6th by passing Camponeschi.
Leclerc further improved on the fastest lap with 1’29” 219, ahead of the other competitors. Dabski was now back with his compatriot Basz and took fifth on the ninth lap. Sam Snell (Energy / TM) took Basz who was now threatened by Matthew Graham (Zanardi / Parilla). Graham was 7th, Hubert also took the two Poles for eighth position with Verstappen on his heels.
Definitely unbeatable at Sarno, Leclerc took the win by 2.8” ahead of Joyner, Rudakov finished in third position 5.9” off second, Olsen fourth, Dabski fifth, Snell sixth, Graham 7th Hubert 8th, Basz 9th and Verstappen 10th. The final ranking might be different from the finishing order.
