Another good start for Max Verstappen (Intrepid / TM) in the KF2 final. But also on the front row, Felice Tiene (CRG / BMB) fell back to seventh position on the first corner, but took back three places during the first lap. Dennis Olsen (Energy / TM) stayed in the wake of the leader who had already escaped copiously. Tiene took another position, followed now by Damiano Fioravanti (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Paolo Ippolito (Kosmic / Vortex). Alessio Santilli (Top Kart / Parilla) was fifth, Tom Joyner (LH / BMB) sixth, Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) eighth, Stefano Cucco (Maranello / BMB) ninth and Kevin Lavelli (Top Kart / Parilla) 10th. Charles Leclerc went into the pits on the formation lap and started after everyone, but came back to 24th.
In the first third of the race, Verstappen had a lead of 2.8'' ahead of Olsen who Tiene closed on. The latter seized second place on lap 6. Joyner got the better of Ippolito for sixth position, then Fioravanti for fourth in the ninth round. Toman and Camponeschi gave up. Nikolaj Moller Madsen (Tony Kart / TM) was back in eighth, followed by Marco Maestranzi (PCR / Parilla) and Antonio Fuoco (Tony Kart / Vortex). The group to which they belonged was agitated and the positions changed regularly. With two laps to go, Joyner was closing on a podium place at the expense of Olsen.
Apparently suffering a mechanical problem, Tiene retired a few hundred yards from the line, leaving second and third to Joyner and Olsen, while Verstappen crossed the line with a lead of almost 8''.
