It was a new front row for the second KZ heat, as the first 2 of the previous race, Bas Lammers and Jérémy Iglesias, were penalized and letting Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Beitske Visser (Intrepid / TM) take it. The Intrepid Boys were 15th and 18th respectively.
Ardigo retain the lead at the start, Visser was attacked by Patrik Hajek (Tony Kart / Vortex) but resisted, and Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex) took the opportunity to pass the Czech driver. De Brabander and Abbasse crashed off the track, but carried on. But the situation was changing rapidly behind Ardigo. Now Hajek was second followed by Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) who recovered much later, Antonio Piccioni (Parolin / TM), Convers, Roberto Toninelli (Lenzo / TM), Visser and Lammers.
Hajek attacked Dreezen and seized second position, and Piccioni attacked Hajek. Lammers was behind the CRG, seeming to display a return to form in ninth and Pex was ahead of Thonon 10th. The gaps stabilized the positions until the end, except Lammers passed Toninelli. Marco Ardigo won from Rick Dreezen and Antonio Piccioni. Hajek finished fourth, followed closely by Visser and Convers and then seventh was Lammers, Toninelli 8th, Thonon 9th and Pex 10th.
