His place in the first row at the start of the pre-final next to Jonathan Thonon showed Sodi's excellent potential in the 125 gearbox category, supported by a TM from Tec-Sav. Later, a mechanical problem forced him to quit the race, but he brilliantly made up the lost ground in the final, recovering 25 places and posting the best lap in race, ahead of the world elite of the category. Sodi expects a lot from the rest of the KZ season.Pierre Gasly made sparks fly, with second best time in timed qualifying out of a total of 90 drivers racing in KF3. Fourth in pre-final, the last race was not as good and he was even penalised after a start that the sport commissioners did not like much. However, Pierre always fought in the top 5 of the WSK, doing better than in Lonato. In KF2, results were not as good for the French team. Some problems to the power valve delayed Sébastien Bailly before he was slightly injured by another kart and threw in the towel. Once again, Alex Baron achieved a nice qualification and an encouraging 18th in the pre-final. After a collision at the first turn of the final, Sodi's hopes had to be put aside, for the time being. Info Kartcom / © Photo KSP

After a remarkable performance in Lonato at the Winter Cup, the young Dutch driver achieved full success for CRG in La Conca, at the opening of the WSK Euro Series. After starting quietly, Max gradually increased the pace and dominated the pre-final and final by getting rid of all his rivals: a more than promising double victory! There is a perfect harmony between the driver and his CRG/Maxter: now leader of the WSK standings, Verstappen is already the favourite.Info Kartcom / © Photo KSP

Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG /Maxter) was in 6th position behind Tiene. On the 5th lap, Brandon Maisano (Intrepid / TM) quickly came from the back of the grid to 13th place.Convers remains at the wheels of Ardigo and De Vries was almost with the two leaders. He passed Convers on the 7th lap with authority, but Convers replied. Tiene and Kozlinski were not far from 4th, which was Cooper. Ben Hanley (Maranello / Maranello) followed in 7th position, Chamberlain (Tony Kart / TM) was in 8th and Toman (Birel / BMB) 9th. Ardigo led by 4 tenths from the two Kosmics and De Vries. Yannick De Brabander (Intrepid / TM) was back in 8th position from Chamberlain, who was followed by Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex). Fore, Vigano and Cesetti were no longer in the race for several laps. At the halfway point Kozlinski began chasing Cooper, while Convers put Ardigo under pressure but could not find an opening. The first 3 were very close. Koko came on gradually, while Catt with his fresher tires put in a good lap. He was in 6th.The situation may change in the top three: Can Convers attack Ardigo? Can De Vries dominate? Nyck attacked and finally passed Convers on the 2nd last of 24 laps. But Ardigo took the opportunity to make a small advance. Meanwhile, Koko took 4th place from Cooper. De Vries is faster by a tenth a lap, but he could not catch Ardigo. Ardigo won the race, a good result in Super KF for the former World Champion. De Vries showed his immense talent with the early 2nd place in his 2nd race in the premier class and Convers showed we would have to watch him this season. Kozlinski finished 4th, Cooper 5th, Catt 6th, De Brabander 7th, Hanley 8th, and 9th Maïsano Tiene 10th. Info Kartcom with Kartlink / © Photo KSP

At mid-race the Dutchman was 3 tenths ahead of the Belgian.Iglesias managed to overtake Piccoli for 4th position. Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) began well, but starting at the back of the grid, he was still only 17th, well behind Renaudie (PCR / TM) who was going well ahead of Johansson ( Energy / TM). Guillaume De Ridder (Kosmic / Vortex) advanced to 8th place, Kanamaru Yu (Tony Kart / Vortex) 9th and 10th Barrabeig. Gatting then pushed to snatch 4th place ahead of Nortoft and Moller-Madsen. Cooper overtook Cesetti to reach second place behind Convers.Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) mingled with the fray after a surge and soon occupied 3rd position. Kozlinski was also on the pace, but received a penalty of 3 seconds that relegated him to 7th place. Cesetti got a 10 second penalty. Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) reminded everyone of his pace yesterday and took the 4th position in the standings, followed by Felice Tiene (CRG /Maxter). Convers, Cooper, Cesetti Ardigo, De Vries, Koko crossed the line in that order, but the results show Convers 1st, 2nd Cooper, Ardigo 3rd, De Vries 4th, and 5th Tiene Kozlinski 6th. Peter Hoevenaars (Intrepid / TM) complements the success of the Orange brand, but the French have achieved outstanding performance with Hubert Anthoine (Tony Kart / Vortex) 4th and Pierre Gasly (Sodi / Parilla) 5th, plus Enzo Marchetti (Sodi / Parilla) 8th, Ocon Esteban (Exprit / Vortex) in 12th due to a difficult final round, Remy Deguffroy (Tony Kart / Vortex) 28th and Lucile Cypriano (FA Kart / Vortex) 33rd. We will monitor the comebacks of Orudzhev (Intrepid), Beer (FA Kart) Hiltbrand (Kosmic) among the notable outsiders. In the 38 that were disqualified, Leclerc, Dennis, Albon, Roussel had the pace to take their place in the finals, while Niceta (64th), winner of the 2009 World Cup, still can not find his mark.Info Kartcom with Kartlink / © Photo KSP

Anthony Abbasse not only competed well against the best of the specialists entered, but also won in a qualifying heat.Powered by a TM from Tec-Sav, the Sodi chassis has shown it's quality both on the wet track in qualifying on Friday and on a dry track for the heats on Saturday. Anthony's talent did the rest and the French driver is in second place in the intermediate classification, quite a feat!Info Kartcom with Kartlink / © Photo KSP

But all the favorites have retired at least once and the hierarchy reflects the disturbed situation. Brandon Maïsano managed a good comeback with his 3rd place and will be next to Ben Cooper (Kosmic / Vortex) for the start of the pre-final.Tiene - Cesetti, Dale - Kozlinski, Puhakka - Ardigo, these are the drivers up to the 5th row. Nyck De Vries will start 12th and Ben Hanley 13th. Then there was the very fine performance by Laura Tillett (Tony Kart / TM), fast and steady in 15th place ahead of Yannick De Brabander and Jordan Chamberlain.Info Kartcom with Kartlink / © Photo KSP

A good surprise on the French side, as Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) is in second place at the end of the heats with a 4th place and a victory. Paolo De Conto (Energy / TM) was able to combine performance and consistency to rank 3rd overall and 1st in KZ2 in front of Tony Kart / Vortex driver Rick Dreezen. The Bulgarian Mishel Georgiev (CRG / TM) made a brilliant start with 5th place (second in KZ2) while Manuel Renaudie moved his PCR / TM to 6th place. It was not until the 7th position that there was an Intrepid / TM. Racing incidents explain this relative rout of the orange drivers. Lammers is in 7th and Iglesias 8th, but the potential of their machinery is intact and we should find them better placed tomorrow. Finally, note the beautiful 15th position for Gianni Gazzurelli (FA Kart / Vortex) who gave it everything. 17 drivers will have to compete in the repechage on Sunday morning to try to reach the Finals.Info Kartcom with Kartlink / © Photo KSP
