Trent Valley Kart Club are excited to announce a brand new race for 2016, the IAME European Open
This inaugural event will take place from 15-19 June 2016 at the World renowned PF International kart circuit, Lincolnshire, UK.
Following the tremendous success of the X30 classes since their introduction in the UK in 2014, and the committed support of IAME, Tillottson & JM Engineering (UK importer) for this event – TVKC are delighted to be able to organise this momentous race meeting as a welcome addition to its 2016 racing calendar.
The IAME European Open is an IAME sanctioned event and is featured on the NCAFP calendar – allowing both UK national A licence holders plus foreign participants (with national licences and ASN approval) to compete.
The meeting will be held over 5 days and will adopt the ever popular format that was successfully showcased at TVKC’s Kartmasters Grand Prix event. This will consist of:
Wednesday 15 June Non-Qualifying Practice
Thursday 16 June Non-Qualifying Practice
Friday 17 June Qualifying Practice / Heats
Saturday 18 June Qualifying Practice / Heats
Sunday 19 June Pre Finals / Grand Finals
The combined points achieved during Friday & Saturday will dictate the grid position for the Pre Final on Sunday.
The event will be open to International drivers in the following classes: IAME Cadet / X30 Junior / X30 Senior / X30 Masters
To help amalgamate the regulations used in the varying competing countries, the IAME European Open will include NO front brakes for the Junior, Senior & Masters categories and Tillottson carburettors and end can silencers will be used. These will be supplied for the duration of the event, free of charge, if required, courtesy of Tillottson and IAME. TAG Heuer Timing transponders will be used and will be supplied free of charge to those that need them.
The entry fee for the 2016 IAME European Open for the Junior, Senior & Masters categories is £900 for the 5 day event – this includes 2 sets of mandatory slicks and 2 sets of mandatory wet tyres for racing. For Cadet, the entry fee is £600 which includes 1 set of mandatory slicks and 1 set of mandatory wet tyres for racing. The Cadet grid will be restricted to 36 competitors.
There’ll also be the chance to test at PF International prior to the event at the Official test days on 10 & 11 June 2016.
